Fine Gael will fill John Naughten's vacant seat on Roscommon County Council in less than two weeks' time.
A selection convention will take place in the Athlone Springs Hotel on the evening of February 20th.
Candidates have until next Wednesday, February 12th, at 9pm to lodge a nomination.

They must be a party member from the Athlone Local Electoral Area and be backed by a local party branch.
John Naughten died last October, four months after he was re-elected in the local elections.
His position on the council has been vacant since he lost his life.
