Fine Gael's Peter Burke has been elected after the first count in Longford-Westmeath.
Burke received 10,864 first preference votes exceeding the quota of 10,315. Burke's surplus of 549 vote will be distributed tomorrow morning as the returning officer has adjourned the count until 9am.
The vote share has seen a swing to Fine Gael of +4%, Sinn Fein -6% and Fianna Fail -8%.
