A construction expert believes some of the businesses affected by the Longford town fire could be able to reopen in a matter of months. There had been fears it would take over a year to fix the damage caused by the blaze last Sunday week.
It affected 13 businesses in Grafton Court, forcing over 60 people out of work, and causing several million euro in damage. Local Fianna Fáil councillor Seamus Butler runs Butler Manufacturing Services - he believes the damage could be fixed quicker than expected.
