The street, which is a major trading route in the town linking the Longford Shopping Centre with Main Street has remained sealed off since early Sunday morning.

The Chamber president is calling for the route to be re-opened to pedestrians as soon as possible.

Gardaí have not ruled out foul play and are continuing their calls for witness statements and dash cam footage from the night in question.

It broke out at around 1.30 in the morning in Grafton Court and was eventually brought under control by the fire service.

Grafters Hair Company is one the businesses badly affected, and salon owner Pauline Belton is devastated by the damage done.
