First ever Brazilian Day festivities to kick off in Roscommon today

The family day is being held at the Kilbride Community Centre and is marking the country's Independence Day, which occurred on September 7th.

Roscommon's first ever 'Brazilian Day' celebrations are taking place today.
The family day is being held at the Kilbride Community Centre and is marking the country's Independence Day, which occurred on September 7th.
The event promises to be a day packed with activities, which include arts and crafts, musical performances, martial arts, football, and exhibits which will display the Brazilian culture.

The festivity is to honour the country's cultural and artistic legacy, and encourage people of all backgrounds and nationalities to get a taste of Brazil.
The opening ceremony is starting at noon, and the event will wrap up at 5pm.
