The first Leitrim man in a nursing home in the county to be vaccinated against Covid 19 says people have nothing to fear from the jab.
88-year-old Eddie McCartin from Drumgownagh, became the first person in residential services in Leitrim to be vaccinated against COVID-19 at Arus Carolan Nursing Unit in Mohill on Monday.
The roll-out of the vaccine is continuing at nursing homes and residential settings across the Shannonside region with the second doses to provide full immunity expected to start in two to three weeks' time.
