The first Leitrim nursing home resident to receive the Covid vaccine this week says there is now light at end of the tunnel.
88-year-old Eddie McCartin from Drumgownagh became the first person in residential services in Leitrim to be vaccinated against COVID-19 at a nursing home in Mohill
this week.
Almost all nursing homes across the region have now received their first vaccine doses - with the second round to provide full immunity expected to be delivered in early February.
