Ireland's first national Trail Conference will be held in Leitrim from tomorrow.
Over 2,000 people are expected to head to the county for a wide programme of events over the weekend.
The programme included guided walks, stand-up paddling, outdoor wellness experiences, foraging workshops and kayaking among other experiences.
Following the weekend's events, the conference itself will be held on Monday and Tuesday in the Landmark Hotel in Carrick on Shannon.
That leg of the festival will see exhibits, key note speakers and trail building workshops over the two days.
The event is being organised by the Leitrim Development Company in conjunction with the ILDN and Rural Recreational Officers around the country.
According to Rural Recreation Officer with the LDC, Emma O'Hagan, the conference will be of huge use to community groups and land owners interested in creating their own walking trail.
