The first paint retrieval service for Longford and the midlands is to start in the coming months.
The project is being undertaken by the REVAMP 3RStore which has been in Longford town for the past 20 years and which specialises in upcycling and reusing furniture.
The project is one of the 34 social enterprises across the country to successfully apply for funding under the Rethink Ireland Social Enterprise Development Fund.
Breda Murphy, who's co-ordinator at the Longford centre, says they have studies about retrieving water soluble paints by way of a successful project run in Ballymun for the past few years.
She says they are delighted to have the co-operation of Longford Council and Mulleadys in setting up this new project:
