Fitzmaurice hopes Dail is recalled to properly fill vacancy in Agriculture at Cabinet

The Taoiseach now assumes the role of Agriculture Minister following the resignation of Dara Callery.

Michael Martin has stated that he will take on the responsibilities until the new Dail terms begins.

However there are now calls for the Dail to resume to allow for questions on the controversy.

Roscommon Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice says he'd be hoping TDs are recalled if only to allow the role of Agriculture Minister be filled that can fully focus on the job at hand.
