Five people have been waiting over 17 years for a council home in Co Roscommon.
According to details released under the Freedom of Information Act, over 100 have been waiting over eight years.
In total, there are 756 people on the social housing waiting list in Co Roscommon.
240 are waiting for a council home in Roscommon town, which has by far the longest waiting list.
Others areas with long waiting lists in Ballaghaderreen and Boyle, both with 85, Monksland with 74, Castlerea with 72 and Strokestown with 38.
In total, 53 people have been waiting between eight and 10 years for a council home.
50 have been waiting over 10 years.
Five people have been on the list for 17 or 18 years, but the council says they are all in receipt of the support under the Rental Accommodation Scheme.
This scheme involves the state paying part of a tenant's rent when they are in private rental accommodation.
