The former boyfriend of a Longford woman stabbed to death in New York has been indicted for her murder. 41-year-old Sarah McNally died after she was attacked while working at the Ceili House Bar in Maspeth, Queens on March 30th. Marcin Pieciak, 36, is charged with second degree murder and two counts of possession of a criminal weapon. He is alleged to have stabbed the Longford town native up to 19 times before cutting his own throat.
District Attorney Melinda Katz said Pieciak is accused of 'cruelly and brazenly taking the life of someone he purported to care for and doing so in front of her colleagues and bar patrons'. Pieciak of 76th Street in Glendale was remanded in custody and ordered to return to court on 18th of June.
