A former head of the Garda cold case unit has praised those involved in the search for a Longford man who was missing for 11 days. Peter Bohan's body was found in a wooden area near his home yesterday evening, after he vanished from Drumlish on Sunday, May 12th.
A major search took place, involving Gardaí, the Civil Defence, drones and specialist sniffer dogs. A post mortem examination on the late Mr Bohan has now been complete and his funeral details will be announced in the coming days. Retired Garda Detective Alan Bailey, who led Operation Trace, paid tribute to them for their work.
