Former mayor of Boyle, Jane Suffin, has announced she will be running as an Independent candidate in the local elections.
She was a former town councillor in Boyle, both as an Independent and for Sinn Fein.
She was recently campaigning against plans for refugee housing in the area.
Ms Suffin says there is a lack of Boyle candidates running in the Boyle Municipal District in June's elections.
