One of the largest office spaces in County Leitrim is to go on sale for over six million euro.
The former MBNA site, which is over 112,000 square feet in Carrick-on-Shannon is now available to purchase.
At one time up to 1,000 people were employed at the now Carrick Business Campus in Leitrim's county town.
In recent years Avant Money operates out of the imposing building just outside the town centre, where dozens of people are employed at their call centre.
The firm leases around 2,000 square metres of space but will not be affected by any sale.
In recent days Savills auctioneers has advertised the entire building and its car park for sale for an estimated €6.6million euro.
The building is being sold by Digital officer centre Group, who purchased it in 2016 and it's understood that the building is being suggested as an ideal base in the northwest for any possible financial services or multinationals looking to locate in the region.
Leitrim Councillor Enda Stenson has suggested that Leitrim County should examine if any other stakeholders have been approached about the building claims the local authority 'cannot allow the building to be purchased and not put into use for the good of the County.'
