A former Roscommon councillor is seeking a political comeback.
Michael McGreal had been a local councillor for almost 30 years until he lost his seat in the 2014 local elections.
There is a vacant seat on Roscommon County Council after Gareth Scahill received a Taoiseach's nomination to the Seanad.
McGreal says he would relish the opportunity to return to the council:
