Former Roscommon Rose Bernie Donnelly was crowned Ladies Day winner at Ballinrobe Racecourse last Monday evening. Bernie's stunning outfit earned her a luxurious experience at The Lodge at Ashford Castle plus €1,000 in spending money. Four finalists were also awarded dinner for two at Wilde’s Restaurant in The Lodge at Ashford Castle.
Bernie's winning ensemble featured a red dress from Sister Jane, complete with white boater hat adorned with strawberries by Carol Kennelly Millinery, on hire from Hat Hire by Caroline. Nurse Bernie was crowned Roscommon Rose in 2022 and represented her county with distinction in Tralee that year. She won over the audience and presenter Daithi O Se by demonstrating CPR on stage in the Dome.
