Eight public areas of rural county Longford have now got free community WiFi access.
The Broadband Connection points are among the first premises to be connected under the National Broadband Plan (NBP)'s connected communities initiative. The access can be used for remote working, study, community and digital skills training.
Currently, internal and external access to high-speed broadband is available at The Latin School Community Centre Moyne, Moydow Community Centre and Abbeyshrule Airfield.
Ballymore GAA, Colmcille GAA, Carrickedmond GAA and Corlea Trackway Visitor Centre are offering external access at present.
