Free parking is set to continue in Co Roscommon - with no plans to introduce charges.
Many towns in the Shannonside region have introduced paid-parking, like Longford town and Carrick-on-Shannon.
But Roscommon County Council's budget meeting heard this week this is still not planned in the county.
Independent councillor Tom Crosby says this is very welcome.
