Walk in flu vaccines will be available for free for children in the Shannonside Region from tomorrow.
There has been an increase in cases of flu among young children as the HSE urges parents to get their kids vaccinated.
Free walk-in clinics have been announced for 2 to 17-year-olds to get the flu jab over the Christmas period.
In Leitrim, the clinic will take place at the Leitrim Covid Vaccination Centre on Thursday the 28th of December.
They'll also take place in the Ballyminion Primary Care Centre on the Athlone Road in Longford on the 28th.
While flu vaccines will be available on the 29th of December from the Clonbrusk Primary Care Centre in Arcadia in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
More than 12-hundred children under fifteen were hospitalised with the flu last year.
