Full bed capacity has been reached at Sligo University Hospital this afternoon.
Management says there's pressure on bed availability which is resulting in significant delays being experienced by patients in the Emergency Department.
On Tuesday 139 people attended the A&E with 173 visiting on Monday.
In addition, 20 patients are being treated in the hospital with Covid-19, with five wards impacted by the outbreak.
The Saolta Hospital group is urging the public for non-urgent health problems to contact their GP or the Caredoc out-of-hours service.
