It may be July before the ban on inter-county travel is lifted.
From April 12th people will be allowed to travel anywhere in their county or 20km from their home across a county border.
But Ministers were told yesterday it could be July before inter-county travel is allowed again.
Minister and Green Party Leader Eamon Ryan says they'll review in May whether that can happen quicker, or if the re-opening process can speed up.

New data from a software developer has revealed that a surge in people searching various distances and locations from their homes in anticipation of an easing of Covid restrictions.
Dave Bolger, who runs "2kmfromhome.com reported a 25% increase nationally in the last two weeks of people searching for locations outside of their 5km limit, with a 26% rise recorded in Cavan, and 28% in Longford.
The biggest increase of 38% was seen in the counties of Wexford, Offaly, Clare and Kerry with a 34% increase reported in Roscommon and 31% in Leitrim.
Dave says there is a big difference in the searches between urban and more rural areas.
