The allocation of a new bus for the Ballymahon Day Care Centre will be of huge benefit to its clients.
That's according to manager Breda Greaves who says the bus service will operate five days a week collecting passengers from across County Longford.
50,000 euro has been awarded to the facility to purchase the vehicle under the CLAR programme and Breda says the tender process will begin shortly.
A further 44,000 euro has been allocated to Leitrim Volunteer Centre and Roscommon Sub Aqua Group to also buy a bus.
Welcoming the funding Minister Frank Feighan commended the organistations for their hard work and dedication.
Speaking to Let's Talk earlier Breda says having their own mini-bus will open the centre to more people.
