An area surrounding a well-known airport is set to benefit from a new injection of funding.
€200,000 per year has been allocated by the Department of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment for the development of the strategic development zone at Ireland West Airport.
Strategic development zones are areas that are proposed to contain developments of economic or social importance to the State.
The amount will be paid over the course of 2 years and it's expected that the agreement for the transfer of funds can will in place early next year
