Only two roads will be repaired under the Community Involvement Scheme in the Ballinamore local electoral area this year because of a lack of funding.
That's according to local Fianna Fáil councillor Paddy O'Rourke.
He's calling on Transport Minister Eamon Ryan to meet a delegation of Leitrim councillors to discuss the funding issue.
CISs, which are for local roads or cul de sacs, involve the community paying 10 per cent of the cost and the state paying the rest.
Councillor O'Rourke says various ministers have failed to provide Leitrim with enough money for the scheme.
