A local TD has welcomed funding announced for an Adult Disability Respite Unit in Carrick on Shannon. Minister of State for Disabilities, Anne Rabbitte announced yesterday that €23m in capital funding has been allocated nationally for disability capital projects in 2024.
The funding in Leitrim is going towards the construction of a new residence for adult disability respite at the HSE owned grounds in Carrick-on-Shannon. Speaking to Shannonside FM News, Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan says he's pleased the project has received funding:
