Our Lady of Mount Carmel National School currently has 144 students enrolled at the education facility.

The 'Walks Scheme' provides funding to landowners and farmers to maintain and develop trails that travel across their land.

The funding is aimed at helping the groups meet increases in costs and services over the past year

Nationally, close to one million euro was used by county councils for the initiative.
