A fundraising appeal has been launched for a young Roscommon boy who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in September 2021.

The next stage in Joseph's journey is to get him enrolled on a clinical trial to prevent his cancer returning.

A Gofundme campaign with a target of 250,000 euro has been set up, to help Joseph get a vaccine at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York.

Speaking to Let's Talk earlier, Joseph's father Micheal thanked the public for their support.

"It's the unknown for us if this comes back. We can't take a chance on Joseph. He is too special to us and as parents we have to do the best we can do. From talking with Sloan Kettering and the medical team there, we have a window of 45 days from the end of his last scans. His last scans will be taking place, all going well, in April".
