Funds are being raised to help two Roscommon teens suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy to receive life-changing treatment in the United States.
In 2012, George, Isaac and Archie Naughton were diagnosed with DMD, a progressive muscle-wasting disease for which there is no treatment and no cure.
The Naughton family sadly lost their son Archie to the disease in 2022.
George and Isaac have now been invited to participate in a ground-breaking clinical trial in the U.S., which aims to prove that a specific treatment can slow down cardiomyopathy, a life-threatening complication of DMD.
The Join Our Boys Trust, which was set up by the Naughton family, is organising a Christmas raffle to raise $650,000 so that George and Isaac may afford the treatment.
A GoFund me page has also been set up which is currently accepting donations.
