Funeral details have been confirmed for a Roscommon man who died following a road crash in New Zealand earlier this month.
Declan Curley, originally from Clonark near Athlone was killed when he was struck by a car in the suburb of Te Aro in Wellington just after 3am on February 12th.
A major fundraiser was established for the family of the 37-year-old to help repatriate his body to Ireland with over $88,000 dollars now raised.
His funeral will take on Monday next in Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Clonown at 12 noon followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 3.30pm.
His family have also thanked the public for their help and support which they have described as offering ‘much comfort’ as this ‘difficult time’.
