The funeral of a priest, who died in a bus crash in Cork and had previously worked in Castlerea is to take place this afternoon.
Fr. Con Cronin, who was in his 60s, died after being hit by the Bus Eireann bus, which veered out of control in Monkstown around lunchtime on Tuesday.
The driver, who was in his 50s, suffered an apparent cardiac arrest and was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Fr Cronin, who worked in Castlerea in the late 1990s, was remembered as a very spiritual man by the town's parish priest, Fr John McManus this week.
A private funeral mass will take place in Passage West this afternoon before burial in a local cemetery.
