A Go Fund Me campaign has been set up in memory of Neil to fund a sporting foundation that will provide opportunities to young athletes.

The funeral of a Longford man killed in a work place accident in London will take place tomorrow.

61 year old Neil Hayes died following an accident at a construction site on May 24th at the Camden Goods Yard, Chauk Farm in London.

The Senior Construction worker was born in Longford and educated at St Mel's College in the Town.

Tara Gaelic Football Club in London paid tribute to the Longford man, describing him as an extremely talented footballer and a lover of all sports.

Neil will be laid to rest following a service in St Dominic's Priory, Southhampton Road, London.
