The local authority confirmed the €240,000 sale of over 11 acres at Carrownabrickna and Ballyboughan on the Racecourse Road.

Roscommon's GAA Centre of Excellence will be of huge benefit to young people across the county, according to a local councillor. Fianna Fáil's Larry Brennan was speaking as the facility moved one step closer following the purchase of council land outside Roscommon town.

The local authority confirmed the €240,000 sale of over 11 acres at Carrownabrickna and Ballyboughan on the Racecourse Road. It will incorporate three full-size floodlit grass pitches, two new astroturf pitches, warm-up areas and a stand for spectators. Councillor Brennan said the County Board can now move to the next stage of development:
