Gardaí are investigating after a car was involved in a single vehicle collision on the R360 at Ballintava, Dunmore, in the early hours of Friday morning.

Drivers are advised to pay particular attention to motorbikes or vehicles veering across the road.

Met Éireann warns that Storm Ashley will bring very strong to gale force and gusty south to southwest winds, coupled with high spring tides.

The road has been closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.

Fianna Fail does not currently have a seat in the constituency.
