A number of public information events will be held next week on the Galway to Athlone Greenway.
The meetings are being held to allow landowners, farmers, cyclists and those in the hospitality industry to view the preferred route for the 205km stretch.
The Galway-Athlone National Cycleway Project is part of the Dublin to Galway Greenway Network, a coast-to-coast greenway and partial rail trail.
Approximately half of the Athlone to Galway route will pass through publicly-owned land and the remaining half through privately owned lands, with a planning application expected to be lodged in 2024.
A number of events will be held across Galway next week, with the meetings culminating in an event at the Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe on Friday the 31st of March.
Members of the project team will be in attendance at the meetings from 3pm to 8pm and will speak to those looking for more information.
