Gardaí were alerted to an incident at the Dún Darrach Housing Estate on the Dublin Road outside the town shortly after 3.40pm.

Damien McCarthy from the Garda Representative Association says it's a massive problem that needs to be addressed.

The test includes running, sit ups, as well as push and pull strength exercises.

A Longford man in his 70's died in the crash and Gardaí are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash.

No one was injured in the incident but the road was blocked for a time.

The operation focused on what Gardaí called the four life saver offenses.

There were approximately 20 passengers on board the bus at the time of the incident.

The two men in their 20s are being detained at Blanchardstown Garda station as part of the investigation.
