It's after two burglaries of businesses in Knockcroghery and Roscommon town on Tuesday morning.

Two businesses premises, one in Knockcroghery and one on the outskirts of Roscommon are believed to have been targeted some time between 10 o'clock last night and 6 o'clock this morning.

Gardaí say one third of all scams of this nature occur during August to September each year.

According to Gardaí the driving conditions at the time were treacherous due to wet roads.

Emergency services were called to the incident early on Sunday morning, the 28th of July, bringing it under control and stopping the spread of the fire to Main Street.
