Gardai are appealing for information on the 35th anniversary of the disappearance of a Dublin schoolboy.

13-year-old Philip Cairns vanished without trace as he walked home from Coláiste Éanna in Ballyroan in 1986.

His schoolbag was found in a lane near the school six days later, but the case was never solved.

Former head of Garda cold case unit, Alan Bailey, reviewed the disappearance in the 2000s - but he says no progress was made.
