Gardaí arrest man driving stolen JCB through Longford

Gardaí have arrested a man who was driving a stolen JCB in Longford over the weekend.
Gardaí were alerted to a JCB driving from the Pearse Park area at midnight on Saturday 5th January.

The male driver was stopped on the scene and arrested for the unauthorised taking of the vehicle.
He was detained at Longford Garda Station and has been charged with the theft of the machine.
The JCB has since been returned to the owner and the driver will appear at Longford District Court at the end of this month.
