Athlone Gardai are urging the public to be on alert following a series of burglaries in the Kiltoom area this week.
Three break-ins are currently under investigation with Gardai calling on the public to report any suspicious activity in the wider area.
Investigating gardai are currently looking for any information on a dark coloured Audi spotted in the Kiltoom area on Tuesday, with another sighting also reported today.
The vehicle has a partial Dublin license plate of 08 D.
A substantial amount of jewellery was taken from a house in the Barrymore/ Kiltoom area between the hours of 2 to 5pm on Tuesday the 16th of February.
A secured concrete shed was also broken into in the area in the same time period with an automatic clay Pidgeon shooter worth over a thousand euro stolen.
Gardai are asking the public to report any incidence of this specialist equipment being sold online.
Elsewhere, an amount of jewellery was reported stolen from a house in the Woodlands area of Kiltoom on Tuesday evening while the residents of the property were at home.
