Gardai in Leitrim have renewed their appeal for information about un-identified remains found off the coast of the county in 1986.
The body was discovered on the 1st of May, at Knockbrack in Tullaghan.
A post mortem was completed but the remains were never formally identified, the man was later buried at St. Clare's Cemetery in Manorhamilton.
The man was thought to be aged between 30 and 50, and was between 5ft 4 and 5ft 7 with two distinctive tattoos - one on each arm.
Gardai attached to the missing person's unit this year collected a DNA sample to cross reference against worldwide databases and that work is continuing.
