Gardai are investigating after the discovery of a body in a house in Boyle.
Officers were alerted to an incident at a residence in the town on Sunday where they discovered the body of a man aged in his 70's.
The man's remains have been removed to University Hospital Galway where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
