Gardai in Longford are investigating a series of incidents of vandalism at a local GAA club in the last number of weeks.
It's understood at least one window was broken at the Newtowncashel GAA clubhouse last weekend and another window was broken earlier in the month.
The incidents follows damage caused to netting at the pitch as well as broken equipment at the well known ‘Hill Hall’.
In a Facebook post in recent days, the club has appealed to the public to be aware of any suspicious activity and and to remain vigilant of any unusual activity at the clubhouse or the Hill Hall.
The statement also claims that the incidents are ‘spoiling’ fantastic community facilities in the area.
