Gardai in Granard have confirmed they are aware of a “serious public order” incident which is alleged to have occurred in
Edgeworthstown last weekend and footage of which is being shared on social media.
Detectives are investigating the incident which is believed to have occurred on Saturday evening.
Gardaí say they do not specifically comment on an extract of audio/ video footage, published on social media, the timeline and context of which cannot be determined.
It's understood that the video shows a group of youths and an older individual in Edgeworthstown last Saturday night and Gardai have confirmed that a number of individuals have already been identified.
Gardai are appealing to any person who is a participant in this video, who has any information about what is contained on the video, or any person who may have further video or audio of this incident to make contact with Gardaí at Granard Garda Station.
