Garda investigations are underway in Co. Longford due to a collision in the early hours of this morning. Gardaí were alerted of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcyclist. The driver of the motorcycle, a male aged in his 30's, was fatally injured during the collision.
The R198 Longford to Drumlish road, remains closed due to technical examination being carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision and any road users with dash-cam footage to come forward. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Longford Garda Station.
