Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a crash involving a car and bicycle in the town on Thursday afternoon to contact them.
A 12-year-old boy was taken to Temple Street Hospital in Dublin to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries following the collision at around 3.30pm yesterday on station road.
The female driver of the car was also taken to University hospital Sligo for a medical assessment.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have been in the town between 3pm and 4pm, or any motorist who may have dashcam footage to contact them in order to assist with their inquiries.
