Gardaí issue warning over rogue traders in Roscommon

Gardaí in the Shannonside region are warning the public to be on the look for rogue traders calling door to door in Roscommon. The warning follows reports that the bogus callers were active in Roscommon, targeting homes in the Boyle area. The suspects call to a house and offer to do work such as construction, landscaping and cleaning, before requesting money and leaving with no work completed.

Gardaí are warning that these operations can appear legitimate on the surface with branded equipment and printed material. Local Councillor Micheál Frain is urging the public not to engage with house callers if they have any suspicions whatsoever.
