Gardaí praised following discovery of around €700,000 worth of cannabis

The Gardaí are being praised for discovering around 700,000 euro of cannabis in west Roscommon. They found the drugs - both cannabis herb and cannabis plants - at a property in Loughglynn yesterday afternoon. It was part of an ongoing operation, called Operation Tara, targeting suspected cannabis grow houses.

Three men, aged in their 30s, were arrested on suspicion of drug-trafficking and are in Garda custody at Roscommon Garda stations. Local councillor Michael Mulligan says the raid is very significant.
