Motorcyclists are being reminded to slow down as speeds of up to 160 kilometres have been recorded by Gardai this year.
A dedicated road safety campaign has been launched ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend, as 11 motorcyclists have died in crashes so far this year.
The RSA and Gardai are also reminding drivers and other road users to be aware and look out for motorcyclists.
Garda Adrian Corcoran, from the Dublin Metropolitan Region Roads Policing Unit, says motorcycle road deaths so far this year are disproportionately high.
