Gardai warn of mobile-phone scammers in Carrick

Gardai are warning about a scam involving the sale of mobile phones in Carrick-on-Shannon.

It involves the scammer attempting to buy phones from people.

The buyer shows a copy of a fake payment transfer to the seller, who then hands over their phone.

But no actual payment is received by the seller.
